Position Overview

The Ohio State University (OSU) seeks a full‑time Occupational Health Medical Physician to provide medical oversight and care at its Occupational Medicine and Occupational Health and Wellness Clinics in McCampbell Hall. Responsible for delivering, overseeing, and supervising medical care for all OSU employees. Supports collaboration with nursing leadership, hospital administrative leadership, and other leadership to provide operational, financial, and leadership functions. Provides clinical and administrative support for all OSU occupational health clinical policies, programs, and outcomes to meet workforce requirements and regulatory agencies. Assists with strategic planning related to departmental scope, services, policy procedures, and performance improvement for OM/OHW services.

Requirements

• Physician in good standing as a member of the attending or courtesy Medical Staff of OSUWMC.
• Board‑certified in Occupational Medicine highly preferred or board‑certified in another specialty with most recent duties dedicated to occupational health or a highly regulated field of employment.
• Demonstrable experience working within an occupational health, university, academic medical center, or appropriate corporate clinical setting.
• Obtained or willing to attain (and maintain) in a time set by the Medical Director the following certifications as required: DOT/FMCSA CME, MRO certification, Ohio BWC certified physician, USCIS designated Civil Surgeon, FAA AME, or other certifications as needed.
• Eligible for an Ohio license.
• Qualified for an academic appointment – academic rank and salary commensurate with prior training and experience.
