The provider will work in a Level I Verified Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with an average of 45,000+ annual visits. - Level I Verified Adult & Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Average 45,000+ annual visits
- 32 beds with 3 large trauma bays
- 24/7 double Physician coverage and triple covered 5p-2a
- APP's are utilized 12 hrs/day, 7 days/wk
- Adult & Pediatric Hospitalists take unassigned patients
- AirMed Program runs two fixed-wing airplanes and a helicopter at our Sioux Falls location with additional planes and helicopters at our other Sanford facilities
- Emergency Medicine Residency program to begin in 2026
- All services are available at Sanford USD Medical Center except for a burn center
- 545 hospital beds
- Free standing Sanford Children's Hospital
- Sanford Boekelheide Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the region's only Level IV NICU
