Physician, Division Chief, Pediatric Cardiology

Position Overview

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seek a Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology, qualified for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Pediatric Cardiology Program at the Children’s Heart Center.
• Provide excellent patient care to patients at the critical access hospitals, community sites, regional or academic medical centers.
• Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Manage clinical duties and balance responsibilities for all pediatric cardiologists.
• Lead collaboration with the cardiothoracic surgery program.
• Head the state‑wide community outreach clinic program.
• Mentor younger faculty members on quality improvement and research efforts.
• Oversee the educational program for students, residents, and other learners.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
• Completed a pediatrics residency program and a pediatric cardiology fellowship program.
• Board certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
