Dermatologist PositionCommunity Health Centers of America is hiring for a Dermatologist to work in our family practice clinics in the Merced, CA area. Possibly will also work in contracted long-term care facilities. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic skin, hair and nail conditions, creating treatment plans, and performing medical and cosmetic procedures, independently or as part of a healthcare team, in the clinic setting.Community Health Centers of America is a premier multi-specialty group focused on improving the health of the community through excellence in clinical care.

Our goal is to provide better care to the patient with a collaborative, supportive, respectful, and productive work environment for its healthcare professionals.Clinical DutiesObtain, analyze, and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.Assess and diagnose patients' skin, hair, and nail conditions and ailments to determine appropriate treatment.Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions.Prescribe medications.Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions.Educate patients and families on available treatments and preventative care strategies.Order, perform, or interpret the results of diagnostic testing relevant to dermatology.Conduct in-office procedures, which can include medical, surgical (e.g., Mohs surgery), and cosmetic treatments (e.g., Botox, lasers).Refer patients to specialists as needed.Perform follow-up visits to monitor patients or evaluate health or illness care.Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers to ensure continuity and coordination of care.Provide consultative support to other providers in the clinic and affiliated facilities.Administrative DutiesMaintain complete, accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings.Support the development of clinical protocols and patient education materials.Participate in teaching opportunities or case conferences, if applicable.Supervise or coordinate patient care or support staff activities.Maintain current knowledge of state legal regulations for practice.Keep abreast of regulatory processes and payer systems.Practice safe and healthy control methods while working with patients.Ensure compliance and attention to all corporate policies and procedures.Follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignmentFollow facility and GHR Unusual Occurrence ProtocolRespect cultural and religious practices of minor patientsUphold HIPAA regulationsPunctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shiftsOur healthcare professionals enjoy competitive benefits, including:Highly competitive salaries with benefits, a 401(k) plan, and CME allowanceSign-On Bonus!Manageable work schedules, providers are not required to work evenings or weekendsSome flexibility with schedules - great for providers with families/other responsibilitiesNight/Weekend call coverage!Opportunity to work with a diverse range of professionalsA professionally challenging environment with a mix of disease acuityA career with administrative freedom - appropriate support staff is suppliedAccess to charting system that has been designed for quick and easy billing.
