Whitecoat Ventures is currently accepting applications for a Physician Contracting Specialist. This exciting opportunity is located in the Albany NY region, however on-site, hybrid, and remote options are all available. Full-time employed and temp-to-perm options are also both available.
The Physician Contracting Specialist is responsible for the administration, coordination, tracking, and compliance oversight of physician and advanced practice provider employment agreements, recruitment agreements, professional services agreements, compensation amendments, retention agreements, and related provider contracts. This position serves as the primary liaison between Human Resources, Physician Recruitment, Legal Counsel, Medical Staff Services, Finance, and operational leadership to ensure provider agreements are executed accurately, maintained appropriately, and comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The role also supports physician onboarding, contract renewals, compensation updates, and contract lifecycle management activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Legal Studies, or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in healthcare contracting, physician recruitment, provider relations, healthcare administration, human resources, legal administration, or contract management.
• Experience managing confidential documents and sensitive compensation information.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and document management systems.
Preferred
• Experience supporting physician employment agreements and provider recruitment.
• Experience in a hospital, healthcare system, medical group, or physician practice environment.
• Knowledge of contract lifecycle management systems.
• Knowledge of physician compensation methodologies, including productivity-based compensation and RVU models.
• Experience with credentialing, provider onboarding, or medical staff processes.
