PhysicianImagine360 is seeking a physician to join the team! Under general strategic direction, but with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment, this position is responsible for organization, direction, and professional results in the medical diagnostic and treatment of patients for the miCare Clinic.Position Location: Clovis, CAResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Medical leadership of miCare ClinicResponsible for overseeing the development and evaluation of standards of medical care throughout the miCare operationsProvides medical direction, as required, to mid-level providers and medical assistance staff. Advises the miCare Leadership team in matters of medical policy as necessary.Supervises day to day tasks of mid-level providers as well as delivers ongoing and annual performance feedback conversations.Review of monthly chartingConducts regulatory reviews (care delivery, charting, education)Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with representatives of professional societies and health agencies at the local, state, and federal level to ensure the medical standard compliance of the miCare Clinic operationsClinical dutiesUsing evidence-based medicine practice, performs complex medical work including medical history and physiological, psychological, and behavioral factors to determine the cause(s) of a disease, disorder, or injuryDevelops plans for treatment as well as administers specialized medical treatments and proceduresPrescribes appropriatelyOrders, performs, and interprets diagnostic testsFollows-up with patients timely and appropriatelyPlan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others in the miCare ClinicPractices effective communication with miCare team and patient to ensure coordination of care.Document care as required.Operational responsibilitiesPresentation to potential and existing clients.Participation in the review, interview processes, and hiring decisions for provider candidatesDevelopment of formulary and stocked medications.Review of clinic physical space, recommend space design for optimal patient care, assist in creation of space in preparation for care.Data evaluation for clinic proposals to potential and existing clients.Clinic coordination and scheduling.Customer serviceActs as a role model in demonstrating the core values in customer service delivery.Provides timely and thorough follow up with, internal and external customers.Appropriately escalates difficult issues up the chain of command.Quality assuranceServes on committees, work groups, and/or process improvement teams, as assigned, to assist in improving quality/customer satisfaction.Recognizes and alerts appropriate supervisor of trends within their scope of responsibility that fall outside of quality parameters.Performs self-quality monitoring in order to develop and execute plans to meet established goals.Provides ongoing feedback to help optimize quality performance.Collaborates with others and cross-departmentally to improve or streamline procedures.Develops new or improves current internal processes to improve qualityTrains new employees as assignedRequired experience/education:Graduation from an accredited college of medicine with a degree as a medical doctor.Must have an active, current, and unrestricted license in the clinic's state of operation.Knowledge of the principles and practices of modern medicine; human anatomy and physiology; medical terminology; community resources in medical treatment; American Medical Association ethics and standards; pharmacology including laws regarding informed consent, dosage ranges, drug incompatibilities, and side effects; ICD-9 and CPT codingBoard certification in Family Practice, Internal or Emergency MedicineWorking knowledge of computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Office productsSkills and abilities:Proficient typing skillsDemonstrated organizational skills, problem-solving, analytical skills and detail orientedStrong written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize workloads multi-task and manage priorities in order to meet deadlinesAbility to maintain the confidentiality of protected health information in compliance with HIPAA regulationsLicense and certifications:Must maintain an active, current, and unrestricted MD or DO license, along with all continuing medical education (CME) requirements as defined by the applicable State Medical Board.
