To support the revenue cycle operations, the full-time remote Physician Billing Specialist will manage follow-ups on complex surgical and multidisciplinary specialty claims, ensuring accurate coding and resolving payment issues with insurance companies. Key responsibilities Contact insurance companies to secure outstanding payments through various communication methods Review and resolve complex claim rejections, determining their validity and taking appropriate action Monitor changes in reimbursement policies and perform special projects as assigned by management Required qualifications High School Diploma Two years of previous Revenue Cycle experience, including knowledge of PFS, Customer Service, and third-party reimbursement Familiarity with ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding, as well as billing practices of major third-party payors in Massachusetts Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and disease processes Physician coding certification is desired
