Physician - Associate Program Director for Sports Medicine Fellowship - Full Time Academic

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Science Center- Shreveport invite applicants for the position of Associate Program Director for Sports Medicine Fellowship.

Overview

This role is for a Primary Care Physician certified in Primary Care with a CAQ in Sports Medicine who will work closely with department leadership to expand the primary care sports medicine division. The physician will treat patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal issues, concussions, and exercise‑related conditions, utilize musculoskeletal ultrasound, and collaborate with local universities, high schools, and athletic organizations to develop comprehensive sports medicine programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead outpatient sports medicine clinic services.
• Provide outpatient family/primary care medicine clinic services.
• Option to serve as attending on the family medicine inpatient service.
• Serve as Associate Program Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship, providing leadership and faculty oversight.
• Assist with outreach to local universities, colleges, high schools, and sports organizations, including sideline and training room coverage.
• Serve as faculty for the primary care sports medicine fellowship, family medicine residencies, and the School of Medicine.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Primary Care with a CAQ in Sports Medicine.
• Eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure.
