Job Description:
Boutique Proctology Surgical Practice seeking an Advanced Practice Provider - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with previous GI or related specialty experience. The candidate should possess manual dexterity, clinical skills, management abilities, and integrity. Comfort with performing in-office procedures is essential.
Join our team of healthcare professionals utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment modalities. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will work closely with our Board Certified Proctologic Surgeon in an outpatient setting, starting with didactic educational training followed by hands-on procedural training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently obtain relevant health and medical history.
- Perform physical examinations based on age and history; maintain accurate medical records with the assistance of our Proctologic Surgeon if needed.
- Perform and/or order preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures based on patient’s age, symptoms, and history.
- Perform Anoscopic Examinations, administer Hemorrhoid Treatments, and conduct in-office procedures such as excision of thrombosed external hemorrhoids and incision and drainage of perianal abscesses.
- Identify health and medical risk factors accurately to select appropriate treatment modalities.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterology, or Proctology.
