Exciting Full‑Time Physician Assistant Opportunity in Selma, Alabama!

MainStreet Family Care is growing and seeks a fast, fun, and friendly Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team full time! You will provide patient‑focused care in an urgent‑care, primary‑care, telemedicine, and occupational‑medicine environment. The ideal applicant will lead a small team while working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced urgent‑care setting.

We welcome PAs early in their career, including brand‑new graduates. After an on‑site hosted orientation and training, you’ll receive several training shifts with existing providers and ongoing support, such as complimentary pediatric urgent‑care CE and an NP on‑call.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
  • Minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
  • Suturing
  • Splinting
  • General Orthopedic evaluations/management
  • Review of x‑rays (to be over‑read by radiologist, too)
  • General Dermatology
  • General eye problems
  • General EKG interpretations
  • Emergency management skills
  • General GYN expertise
  • Treating children of all ages
  • Occupational medicine
  • Telemedicine

Schedule

MainStreet Clinic Hours

  • Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend, e.g.:

  • Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON).
  • Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).

Qualifications

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required
  • MSN or higher education required (new graduate friendly!)
  • DOT certification required or willing to become certified (cost covered)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office preferred
