Responsibilities
- Providing care to orthopedic patients in the outpatient setting
- Collaborating with the supervising surgeon in clinic
- Ordering and interpreting imaging and laboratory tests
- Developing treatment plans and follow-up recommendations
- Coordinating care throughout the patient’s surgical journey
- Optimizing patients for surgery and serving as first assist in the OR
- Rounding on and discharging the surgeon’s inpatients
- Prescribing medications in accordance with organizational, state, and federal policies
- Assessing postoperative wounds and managing related needs
- Completing timely, high-quality documentation for clinic visits
Requirements
- Master's Degree Physician Assistant required
- 2 years of experience as a PA required
- Previous orthopedic surgery experience required
