Pacific Northwest | Long-Term Assignment | High-Acuity CT Surgery

An established hospital-based cardiothoracic surgery program in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a long-term locum tenens opportunity.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative surgical team and work with a diverse mix of cardiac and thoracic cases in a busy inpatient environment.

Position Highlights

• Long-term assignment with ongoing coverage needs

• First assist opportunity in a high-acuity CT surgery practice
• Inpatient-only setting
• Combination of OR, ICU, and post-operative patient management
• Established multidisciplinary surgical team
• Epic EMR
• Travel and lodging assistance available for qualified providers

Clinical Responsibilities

• First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• ICU and inpatient management
• Daily rounding and post-operative care
• Admissions, consults, and discharge management
• Participation in call rotation
• Collaborative care with surgeons and advanced practice providers

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
• Recent Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
• Strong first assist experience
• Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience required
• Experience managing CT surgery patients in an inpatient setting
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Active license preferred
