As we are open 361 days a year, weekend and evening shifts will be required.* Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests* Fracture/Dislocation reductions/management, laceration repair, joint injections* Instructs patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plan and medications* Consults with physicians when warranted to assess patient condition and treatment plan* Ensures that medical charts and administrative paperwork are completed in a timely manner* Performs within guidelines of specific privileges approved by the governing body and delegated by the Medical Director* Provides support to medical and office staff**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*** Ability to assess situations, resolve within scope of ability, or escalate as appropriate* Ability to respond effectively to emergencies, actual events, or drills* Ability to follow instructions and make decisions with little supervision* Ability to maintain professional demeanor in all aspects of role* Travels between facilities when indicated* Strong customer service skills and excellent communication skills**Candidate must have experience in:*** Sports injuries Sprains & strains Slips, trips, falls* Hand & wrist injuries Foot & ankle injuries Knee/shoulder injuries* Cuts & lacerations* Back & neck injuries* Broken bones* Sports physicals (NOVA & RIC)* Work-related injuries**Position Requirements*** Board Certified/Eligible* Prefer 2+ years of orthopedic experience or practice in Emergency/Urgent Care clinical/hospital setting* Active/current state medical license and eligible for a VA Medical License* DEA License* Physical health to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the positionThis organization participates in E-Verify.
