California Retina Consultants is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to support our board-certified retina specialists in delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by performing injections of therapeutics to patients' eyes, administering Fluorescein angiography, performing patient evaluations, assisting with procedures, and managing follow-up care.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and obtain detailed patient histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), fundus photography, microperimetry, and electroretinography (ERG)
- Administer and perform intravitreal injections and fluorescein angiographies
- Perform all routine diagnostic tests
- Diagnose, treat and manage patient health problems
- Instruct and counsel patients on diagnosis, treatment plan, and follow-up instructions
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Provide referrals within the health care system
- Participate in after-hours call coverage
- Participate in occasional outreach or patient education events (if applicable)
- Maintain compliance with federal and state medical regulations and ethical standards
- Perform other duties as necessary
