A to Z Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to support the Department of Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and/or outpatient medical care within approved scope of practice and clinical privileges
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions
- Perform appropriate examinations, diagnostic assessments, and therapeutic procedures
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
- Support general medicine and specialty units as assigned
- Complete required clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement activities
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification
- Current, valid, unrestricted PA license in any U.S. state or territory
- Minimum of 1 year of PA experience within the past 2 years
- Minimum of 6 months of inpatient experience
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Must successfully complete Government credentialing, privileging, security, and occupational health requirements
Schedule
Providers rotate 11- to 12-hour shifts Monday through Sunday , based on department needs. Scheduled duty will not exceed 80 hours in any two-week period . This is an on-site position.
