Role Description
This is a contract role for a Physician Assistant at Tulsa Family Psychiatry & Wellness. As a Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing quality psychiatric care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. Your day-to-day will include conducting assessments, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and offering appropriate psychotherapy to patients if applicable. This role is a hybrid role, based in Tulsa, OK, with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in psychiatry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound medical decisions
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Current valid physician assistant license
- Experience in psychiatry is an absolute requirement
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Masters or bachelor degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
