What You’ll Do

• Evaluate and manage patients in clinic, including history, exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Perform ophthalmic procedures consistent with training and scope of practice
• Assist physicians with in-office and surgical procedures as needed
• Provide patient education, counseling, and follow‑up care
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience
• Contribute to a culture of quality, efficiency, and compassionate care

What We’re Looking For

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA‑C) with an active California state license
• No prior ophthalmology experience required. We welcome candidates from all clinical backgrounds, including new graduates. Comprehensive, physician‑led training will be provided to support your transition into ophthalmology and help you develop expertise in the specialty.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Physician Assistant certification
• Active California Physician Assistant license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain certification
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative clinical environment
• Ability to perform procedures within the approved scope of practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous ophthalmology or specialty‑care experience
• Experience assisting with clinical or surgical procedures
• Experience using electronic medical record systems
