Overview
Concentra is seeking a Physician Assistant Per Diem (PRN) to join our team in Madison, WI! You will be a vital member of our patient care team, providing exceptional occupational health and urgent care services. Our mission is to improve the health of America’s workforce, one patient at a time. Scope of Practice: Occupational Health + Urgent Care. 3+ years experience required (not accepting new grads at this time). Shifts: 4-6/month, Hours: Mon‑Fri 8a‑5p.
Responsibilities
- Examines patients, compiles medical data and results of examinations.
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests such as X‑ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
- Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Performs therapeutic procedures, including injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Provides instruction and counseling to patients regarding therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
- Develops and implements patient management plans and records progress notes to assist continuity of care.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of occupational health care.
- Assists in the development and presentation of educational programs.
- Provides excellent customer service to all patients, clients, and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
- Dedicated to exceeding customer and patient expectations as measured by NPER, NPS, and TATs.
- Ensures accuracy when completing tasks and performing quality assurance checks.
- Ensures accurate, concise, timely, and complete documentation of results and paperwork.
- Delivers an excellent, compassionate, and warm patient experience regardless of volume.
- Manages time, prioritizes, and multi‑tasks in a busy environment.
- Adapts to changing business needs such as scheduling and working additional / different hours or shifts.
- Consistently delivers quality care in a busy clinical environment.

Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program).
- Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE).
- Current licensed physician assistant in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.
- Must maintain state physician assistant licensure throughout the course of employment.
- Customarily has at least one year of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or an emergency setting.
