Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Primary and Speciality care focused team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a variety of patient types. This role requires a strong understanding of patient assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
* Provide patient centered care in an outpatient clinic
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
* Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to develop effective treatment plans.
* Engage in utilization review/prior authorization processes to ensure appropriate patient care and resource management.
* Collaborate with physicians, advanced care practitioners, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
* Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
* Understand nuances of unique patient populations including those identifying as LGBTQ+ as well as those in active addiction.
Requirements
* Current unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License in Arizona.
* Current unrestricted DEA License.
* 3+ years of experience in a outpatient medical setting, preferrable primary care.
* LGBTQ+ Patient comfort.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
