nJob Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant / APRN to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in an outpatient specialist office setting.
nResponsibilities
nDiagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
nPrescribing medications, therapies and other treatments
nManaging general patient care
nPerforming and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays and lab work)
nEducating patients about healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention
nCounseling patients about their healthcare plan
nHolding specialty-specific responsibilities
nTaking medical histories
nOrdering and interpreting lab tests and diagnostic tests
nPerforming physical exams
nDiagnosing and treating illness
nEducating patients about their treatment plan
nFollow up with patients
nQualifications
nValid Physician Assistant or APRN license with current certification to practice in the state of employment
nProven experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks, is a plus.
nStrong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes
nExcellent patient care skills with a focus on comprehensive assessment and treatment planning for diverse populations across inpatient and outpatient settings
