nAbout the Role
nKARE CENTER in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physicians to provide comprehensive patient care, from diagnosis and treatment planning to patient education and follow-up. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care across a diverse patient population.
nKey Responsibilities
nConduct thorough patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments for a range of acute and chronic conditions
nDevelop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
nOrder, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work, imaging, and EKGs
nPrescribe medications, therapies, and durable medical equipment as permitted by state law and practice agreements
nPerform clinical procedures including wound care, joint injections, suturing, and other in-office procedures as needed
nProvide patient education on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle modifications
nDocument all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
nCoordinate referrals to specialists and ensure appropriate follow-up on test results and consults
nCollaborate with the interdisciplinary care team including physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless continuity of care
nParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review processes, and ongoing clinical education
nQualifications & Requirements
nMaster's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program (MMS, MPAS, or equivalent)
nCurrent, unrestricted PA license in the state of Michigan
nNCCPA certification (Physician Assistant-Certified, PA-C) required
nCurrent DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
nBasic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
nMinimum of 1-2 years of PA clinical experience preferred; new graduates with exceptional training will be considered
nExperience in primary care, internal medicine, or a related specialty is a plus
nProficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
nStrong diagnostic reasoning, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills
nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach

nThis is a full-time, in-person position at KARE CENTER in Ann Arbor, MI. Standard hours are Monday through Friday with potential for some schedule flexibility. KARE CENTER is a supportive, mission-driven organization committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
nThis is an urgent care with primary care. The urgent care treats patients of all ages. The primary care is for adult patients only, by appointment only.
