Physician Assistant Or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) / Wound Care Norwich

The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine has a mission to provide the Southern New England region with access to expertise in advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine therapies.

Wound Care Advanced Practitioner Role Scope:

  • Comprehensive diagnosis and wound assessment of patients
  • Ordering appropriate lab tests, imaging studies, radiographic and other cardiac imaging studies, interpret lab, imaging studies, maintain currency in advanced cardiac life support
  • Management of Hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments
  • Coordinate care of assigned patients including nursing care, nutrition, medications, dressings and adjunctive wound therapies
  • Review patient charts, write progress notes, tabulate data, and complete other required medical record documentation

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's program. Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant, or National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner through a national board certification.
  • Wound care certification or experience preferred; training in Hyperbaric Therapy will be provided

Regular Standard Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours)

Shift Details: Mon-Fri
