Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Ophthalmology practice in Oak Lawn, IL. The ideal candidate will work closely with ophthalmologists to provide high-quality patient care, assist in clinical procedures, and support the overall operations of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and patient histories.
- Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Diagnose and treat common eye conditions and diseases under physician supervision.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as visual fields, OCT, and imaging studies.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
- Provide patient education regarding eye health, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain medical records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
- Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology and participate in continuing education.
Qualifications
- Certified Physician Assistant (PA) licensed to practice in Illinois.
- Experience or strong interest in ophthalmology preferred.
- Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
