A Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistantisdirectly responsible for patient care during procedures and any duties delegated by the physicians. NPs/PAsexercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills. They are expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the physician. Candidatesshould be able to make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner.We are looking for seasoned professionals to join our team and become a valuable member of our well-established practice.
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing patient assessments and reviewing patient information
- Coordinating planned nursing care with other health care team members
- Identifying goals, formulating plans of patient care and evaluating outcomes
- Training and instructing new personnel as necessary
- Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of a clean work environment
- Assisting with organization and development of policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with care plans and determining appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Providing acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring therapies, giving injections/medications, and suturing wounds
- Educating patients and families as appropriate and providing continuity of care
Experience
- Minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
License/Certification
- Current California Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner license
- Certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
