Physician Assistant – Post‑Acute & Rehabilitative Care (North Carolina)
We are a growing, physician‑owned medical group expanding in Greensboro, NC, seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The role focuses on post‑acute and rehabilitative care, including orthopedic recovery, stroke management, and pain management, working alongside a collaborative lead provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to SNF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Manage patients with orthopedic rehab needs, post‑stroke care, and chronic pain conditions.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR.
Required Qualifications
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in North Carolina.
- Active DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start) – required.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience as a PA (SNF, geriatrics, internal medicine, or rehab experience strongly preferred).
- Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations.
- Strong clinical decision‑making and time‑management skills.
- Comfortable working independently in an SNF setting.
Preferred Experience
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience.
- Background in internal medicine, geriatrics, or physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Experience with orthopedic, stroke, or pain management patients.
Schedule & Setting
- Monday through Friday.
- Full‑time (4–5 days per week).
- No nights, no call, no weekends.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May be exposed to blood‑borne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
- Must wear required PPE per company and/or facility requirements.
- Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
