Physician Assistant – Post‑Acute & Rehabilitative Care (North Carolina)

We are a growing, physician‑owned medical group expanding in Greensboro, NC, seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The role focuses on post‑acute and rehabilitative care, including orthopedic recovery, stroke management, and pain management, working alongside a collaborative lead provider.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to SNF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Manage patients with orthopedic rehab needs, post‑stroke care, and chronic pain conditions.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR.

Required Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in North Carolina.
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start) – required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience as a PA (SNF, geriatrics, internal medicine, or rehab experience strongly preferred).
• Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations.
• Strong clinical decision‑making and time‑management skills.
• Comfortable working independently in an SNF setting.

Preferred Experience

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience.
• Background in internal medicine, geriatrics, or physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R).
• Experience with orthopedic, stroke, or pain management patients.

Schedule & Setting

• Monday through Friday.
• Full‑time (4–5 days per week).
• No nights, no call, no weekends.
• Round and go model for strong work‑life balance.
• Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to blood‑borne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
• Must wear required PPE per company and/or facility requirements.
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
