Physician Assistant, Correctional Facility (CF) – North Kern State Prison (NKSP), Delano, CA
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Chief Physician and Surgeon, the Physician Assistant, CF assesses and manages the health care needs of patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and specialized clinical settings. The role includes performing physical examinations, interpreting routine laboratory and imaging results, and educating and counseling patients regarding their physical and mental health. The Physician Assistant may also be assigned call duties with backup supervision by a physician manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and therapeutic procedures
- Interpret routine laboratory and imaging results
- Provide education and counseling to patients about physical and mental health concerns
- Assist with call duties under physician manager supervision as required
