Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant at HACKENSACK RADIOLOGY GROUP
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Interventional
Radiology (IR) team. As a Physician Assistant, you will develop advanced procedural skills while
practicing with significant autonomy and support from experienced Interventional Radiologists.
Individuals with a Radiologic Technologist (RT) license preferred.
As a Physician Assistant with Hackensack Radiology Group, you will be afforded the opportunity
to perform many different procedures as well as participate in full patient care responsibilities as
noted below:
- Ultrasound-guided paracentesis and thoracentesis.
- Image-guided lymph node, soft tissue, and organ biopsies.
- Fine needle aspiration procedures.
- Bone marrow biopsies.
- Placement of tunneled and non-tunneled central venous catheters.
- Implanted venous access port placement, revision, and removal.
- Chest tube placement and management.
- Image-guided abscess drain placement and management.
- Nephrostomy tube exchange and management.
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Provide pre-procedure consultations and informed consent discussions.
- Manage post-procedure care, including follow-up visits and complication assessment.
- Coordinate care with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Review imaging, laboratory studies, and clinical data.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current PA certification through the NCCPA.
- Current New Jersey state PA license or eligibility.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Our ideal applicant will have at least two years of Physician Assistant experience
- An active NJ Radiologic Technologist license is preferred but not required.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians.
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical-thinking abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records.
Applicants should have prior experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Interventional Radiology
- Vascular Surgery
- Critical Care
- Surgical specialties
- Experience performing bedside procedures.
Hackensack Radiology Group offers the option of a four or five day week for this role.
You will have the option of working four, 10 hour days or five, eight hour days.
Our Physician Assistants work Monday through Friday with no weekend or overnight shifts and no on call obligations.
