Applicant Eligibility

  • Must be open to traveling to Houston Area Locations (HALs).
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 8-5 pm. No weekends. No on‑call. Outpatient.
  • Salary Range: Minimum $117,500.00 – Midpoint $146,500.00 – Maximum $176,500.00

Nice‑to‑Haves:
  • Experience managing surgical patients
  • Surgical Oncology experience
  • Experience with Epic/OneConnect

Experience

  • New graduates will be considered; however, prior APP experience is preferred in a critical care environment or surgical experience.
  • RNFA for APRNs is a plus but not required.

Key Functions

  • Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations for new, consult, and follow‑up patients
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and fellows to develop and implement care plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab work
  • Document clinical encounters clearly via dictation or manual entry
  • Perform minor outpatient procedures (e.g., wound care, drain removal, suture removal)
  • Manage pre‑ and post‑operative care for surgical patients
  • patient and family education
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams across the institution
  • Participate in education, research, and administrative initiatives as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

Required: Master’s Degree Accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC‑PA), except for Physician Assistants who graduatedators from a PA program prior to 2013.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Required: PAC – Physician Assistant Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Upon Hire and
  • Required: PA – Physician Assistant Licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners Upon Hire and
  • Required: MAY BE REQUIRED – Eligible to be granted limited prescriptive authority by the State of Texas. Upon Hire and
  • Bulgarian
  • Required: BLS – Basic Life Support American Heart Association (AHA). Upon Hire and
  • Required: ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support American Heart Association (AHA). Upon Hire or
  • Required: PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support American Heart Association (AHA). If working in one of following department: Pediatrics - Patient Care ). Upon Hire
