We’re seeking a compassionate, collaborative Physician Assistant who is passionate about whole-person healthcare and wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients and their families.

Position Summary

As a Physician Assistant, you’ll work alongside our Medical Director, psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, nursing staff, and wellness professionals to provide high-quality medical care throughout a client’s treatment journey. This is an opportunity to practice medicine in an integrated behavioral health setting where collaboration, innovation, and patient outcomes are at the center of everything we do.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive medical evaluations and physical examinations upon admission
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice
  • Develop individualized medical treatment plans
  • Order, review, and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies
  • Prescribe and manage medications under supervising physician protocols
  • Monitor withdrawal symptoms and assist with medically appropriate detoxification when indicated
  • Manage chronic medical conditions throughout treatment
  • Collaborate daily with psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, nursing staff, and case management
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Educate clients and families on medications, wellness, nutrition, and preventive health
  • Maintain timely and accurate electronic medical records
  • Respond to urgent medical concerns and coordinate outside medical care when needed

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Physician Assistant license in good standing
  • NCCPA certification
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
  • Passion for collaborative, patient-centered care
