We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with cardiovascular, vascular, critical care, or surgical experience for a long-term locum tenens opportunity with a respected hospital-based surgical team.
This position offers a consistent schedule, a collaborative practice environment, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team caring for complex vascular surgery patients in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and daily rounding
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the attending surgeon
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative vascular surgery patients
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans within the EMR
- Educate patients and families regarding conditions, procedures, and treatment plans
- Coordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary services
Preferred Experience
- Vascular Surgery
- Cardiovascular Surgery
- Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Critical Care
- Surgical APP experience
- First assist experience is a plus, but not required
Minimum Requirements
For Physician Assistants
- Active Physician Assistant license
- NCCPA certification preferred and/or required per state regulations
- Minimum one year of APP experience
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification as required
- Ability to meet all facility credentialing requirements
For Nurse Practitioners
- Active Nurse Practitioner license
- National board certification in specialty area as required
- Minimum one year of APP experience
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification as required
- Ability to meet all facility credentialing requirements
Clinical Experience
- Cardiovascular, vascular surgery, cardiology, critical care, emergency medicine, or related surgical experience
