• Position: Psychiatric Mental Health Physician Assistant
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based, on-site behavioral health services
• Location: Canton, Georgia
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Start Date: December 1, 2026
• End Date: January 31, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,470–$4,110

Psychiatric Physician Assistant Job Requirements

• Current Physician Assistant licensure with eligibility to practice in Georgia
• At least 1 year of professional Physician Assistant experience
• Experience providing psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health services
• Specialized Physician Assistant certification or credentialing as required for the role
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital-based healthcare environment

Psychiatric Mental Health PA Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and behavioral health evaluations and treatment services to patients
• Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor treatment progress
• Apply evidence-based psychiatric and mental health modalities within the established scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately and promptly
• Support continuity of care through patient education, care coordination, and follow-up planning
