Physician Assistant

Specialties - Primary Care / GI / Family Medicine

Location : Palm Springs, CA

This role is ideal for experienced NP or PA providers with a background in Primary Care or Urgent Care who enjoy delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a managed care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions under applicable state regulations and clinical protocols.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging results.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as permitted by state law and organizational policies.
• Provide preventive healthcare services, patient education, and counseling on disease management and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Assist with medical procedures within the scope of practice and demonstrated competency.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with specialists and ancillary healthcare providers.
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Active California NP or PA License.
• Experience in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or a related specialty preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification.
• DEA registration or eligibility.
