Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Springfield, VA
We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a collaborative multidisciplinary pediatric clinic in Northern Virginia. The PTA will provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping pediatric patients improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and interventions within the PTA's scope of practice.
- Assist pediatric patients with mobility, balance, coordination, strength, and functional development.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns with the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Provide patient-centered care based on each child's developmental and functional needs.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
- Current Virginia PTA license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
