Hiring is done on site by our Director of Rehab and facility leadership, not by an outside recruiter. You will interview with the people you will actually work with. You carry a real caseload and you have room to make clinical decisions within the plan of care. Your judgment about how a session goes is respected. Your supervising PT is in the building. Not on the phone, not covering from another site. When something changes with a resident, you can walk down the hall and talk it through. The whole team is in the room.
PT, OT, SLP, nursing, dietitian, respiratory, social work, and MDS build one plan together. You are included in it, not handed the end of it. New graduates are trained, not thrown in. Structured orientation, a named mentor, a gradual caseload ramp, and in house education. If sub-acute is new to you, that is expected and planned for. There is somewhere to go from here.
