nWe are currently seeking to fill the Physical Therapy Assistant position in Tehachapi and Surrounding Areas.
n-Compensation:
n-Hourly and Paid Per Visit (PPV) hybrid model (negotiable: based on experience, skill level, availability, etc).
n-Salary option available, as well.
n-Opportunity to accumulate overtime.
nThis is a very fast paced position within a bustling business that requires attention to detail. Phone calls are the number one priority second to receiving guests and accommodating office staff. There are a variety of other clerical tasks aside from the incoming calls and guests. As a receptionist, you are the first point of contact and the face/voice of our company.
nJOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
nThe physical therapy assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services under the direction of the
nphysical therapist and according to the physician's plan of care.
nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides direct physical therapy according to directions of a qualified physical therapist and n
in accordance with the physician's plan of care and as defined in the state Physical Therapy
nPractice Act.

- Treats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum n
performance.
n- n
- Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, n
gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.
n- n
- Observes and reports to the physical therapist and the Organization personnel the patient’s n
reaction to treatment and any changes in the patient's condition.
n- n
- Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or n
orthotic devices.

- Maintains necessary records; clinical notes and conference notes, which will be n
incorporated into the patient’s clinical record in prescribed time frames.

- Participates in Organization Home Care Team Members meetings and Organization n
In-service Education Program.

- Performs other duties as assigned. n
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
n- n
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with either an Associate’s n
degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy
nAssociation, Inc.

Current certification or license as required by state law.

Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skill
n -
Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
n -
Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance
n
with the organization requirements.
nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
nGraduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program.
nHas three (3) years nursing experience. Community/home health or medical/surgical experience is preferred.
nCurrently licensed as a licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse in the state.
