Job Summary:
nThe Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, formulating specific treatment goals, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other health care providers and families. Prepare and maintain patient care documentation in a timely manner. Attend designated clinics, rounds, and conferences. Participate in educational programs for staff, students, volunteers, and other professional health care personnel. Participate in training for new staff. Serve as a clinical instructor for students. Facilitate new program development.
nThe Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation offers opportunities across a variety of practice settings, including:
n• Acute Care
n• Inpatient Rehabilitation
n• Outpatient Rehabilitation
nPatient populations may include individuals with orthopedic, neurologic, oncology, vestibular, lymphedema, pelvic health, and other rehabilitation needs. Patient populations include adult and pediatric, depending on departmental and clinical service needs.
nMinimum Qualifications:
nNYS licensed & registered Physical Therapist, degree required for licensure, and two years of eligible experience required.
nCandidates who possess degree required for licensure, NYS PT license/registration or Limited Permit or eligible and less than 2 years experience will be considered for appointment to an entry-level (SL2) position at commensurate salary.
nCPR-BLS certification required at time of appointment.
nPreferred Qualifications:
n2 Years of experience preferred.
nWork Days:
nMonday - Friday with weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.
