How To Become a Travel Nurse?
The journey to becoming a travel nurse begins with obtaining your degree as a Registered Nurse (RN), which typically takes two to four years. After graduation, you must pass the NCLEX RN exam. Different states have varying requirements, but the Enhanced Nursing Licensure Compact allows for a single license in over 25 states, while others require a state-specific license. To qualify for most positions, you need at least one year of acute care experience in your specialty, and additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or AWHONN may be beneficial. After choosing an opportunity and completing your interview, you will undergo clinical credentialing, which includes license verification, immunizations, background checks, and more, before starting your first assignment.
Luxury Housing – One of the best parts of travel RN contracts
Finding suitable housing is crucial for a successful assignment. While many nurses used to rely on their recruiters to arrange housing, most now opt for stipends to find their own accommodations. Resources include vacation rental websites like HomeAway, VRBO, Airbnb, and specialized services such as Furnished Finder and Corporate Housing by Owner. At Stability Healthcare, we offer options to suit your preferences, whether you choose our premium accommodations or prefer to find a hidden gem on your own. We aim to make your assignment as stress-free as possible.
