BayCare’s Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center, a 5-star CMS-rated facility, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) to join our interdisciplinary rehab team. The PTA will assist in delivering high-quality physical therapy services to patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury in a post-acute inpatient setting.
Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to improve patients’ mobility, strength, and functional independence.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and use of assistive devices under PT supervision.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Document treatments and patient responses in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and techniques to support continued recovery.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other rehab professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)
- Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
- Required Associate's Physical Therapy
- Preferred 1 year Physical Therapy Assistant
