You'll have the opportunity to provide one-on-one care to a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, neurologic, balance and geriatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings in various locations (Pinehurst, Rockingham, Troy, Raeford & Sanford, NC). Responsibilities
- Provide One-on One Therapy: Utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and aquatic therapy, to deliver personalized care.
- Document Patient Progress: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices while maintaining accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with Healcare Providers: Work closely with physicians, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Engage with a Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with a large team of seasoned Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), and Occupational Therapists (OTs).
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide education on conditions, rehabilitation and the importance of ongoing self-care.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a supportive and safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Pursue Professional Development: Participate in continuous professional development through continuing education opportunities and clinical ladder opportunities.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current NC PTA license
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and motivate patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
- Experience preferred but new graduate candidates considered
