Physical Therapist Assistant
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic care under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and functional activities to support recovery and improve physical function.
Responsibilities:
- Provide treatment according to the Physical Therapist's plan of care.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Provide mobility, gait, balance, and transfer training.
- Monitor patient response and progress during treatment.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility techniques.
- Assist with appropriate therapeutic modalities and equipment.
- Report changes in patient condition to the Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license or certification in the applicable state.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
