The physical therapist is responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth of students.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Assessment: Conducting screenings and evaluations to address student needs.
• Team process in relation to student program development: Collaborating with the team to identify goals and develop therapeutic interventions.
• Program implementation: Providing physical therapy services as determined on the IEP.
• Professional responsibilities: Maintaining competencies, ethical standards, and records.

Qualifications:

• Licenses: Physical Therapist issued by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, lifting, and bending as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
