Physiatrist (PM&R)

Mercy Health Youngstown, in partnership with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) to join its established inpatient rehabilitation program. This independent contractor opportunity offers a collaborative environment where you will help patients regain independence following various complex medical conditions. You will be supported by an experienced interdisciplinary team and one of the nation's leading rehabilitation organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient physiatry care
• Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
• Lead interdisciplinary team conferences
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing, case management, and consulting physicians
• Coordinate patient rehabilitation goals and discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with quality, documentation, and regulatory standards
• Support ongoing program development and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Eligible for Ohio medical licensure
