Phone ReceptionistNorth Atlanta Dermatology is seeking a professional, upbeat, and customer-focused Phone Receptionist to join our team in Duluth, GA. This is a high-volume, phone-based role where you will serve as the first point of contact for patients calling the practice. Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, experience handling high call volume, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.This role is focused on inbound patient calls, appointment scheduling, call routing, patient inquiries, and delivering a positive phone experience with every interaction.

All responsibilities are phone-based.Office Location: 3850 Pleasant Hill Road Duluth, GA 30096Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMResponsibilitiesProfessionally answer and manage a high volume of incoming patient callsSchedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments accurately across multiple providers and locationsTake clear, concise, and complete phone messages and route them appropriatelyEnter and update patient demographics and appointment information in the systemAssist patients with insurance and payment-related questions over the phoneProactively collect copays or balances when applicable during scheduling callsProvide clear explanations of office policies, procedures, and next steps to patientsEnsure all phone messages, voicemails, and faxes are addressed promptly and documented correctlyMaintain accurate patient records and verify required information is completedCommunicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to support patient needsAlways treat patients with empathy, professionalism, and discretionAssist with additional administrative tasks as needed to support call operationsPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED required2+ years of customer service experience required, preferably in a phone-based, call center, reception, scheduling, or patient-facing support rolePrevious experience managing a high volume of inbound calls while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and efficiencyExperience scheduling appointments, routing calls/messages, and assisting customers or patients over the phone strongly preferredPrior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting preferredExperience working with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) or scheduling systems preferredSkills/Abilities:Strong verbal communication skills and phone presenceAbility to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environmentAttention to detail and accuracy when entering patient informationProfessional, calm, and empathetic demeanor with patientsPrior experience in a medical office, call center, or phone-based customer service role preferredPhysical Requirements:Sitting, some standing, stooping and reaching.Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard.Correctable vision to 20/20 and hearing within a normal range for telephone contacts.Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.Licensure/Certifications/EducationFull time employees (defined as regularly working at least 30 hours per week) are eligible for the following benefits:Medical, Dental & Vision insurance – effective 1st of the month after date of startShort-term and long-term disability, Voluntary life (employee, spouse, and child), Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity – Effective the 1st of the month following date of hireCompany provided Basic Life/AD&D insurancePaid time offPaid holidaysRetirement Savings accountEmployee discount on cosmetic services and products
