LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Site Coordinator to join our team at
2067 West Vista Way, Suite 275, Vista, CA
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday hours vary between 6:00am-6:00pm, additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.
Job Responsibilities
- Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
- Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
- Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
- Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
- Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collecting payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 3 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
- 2 years or more of experience supervisory role
Additional Job Standards
- In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
- Experience managing workflow in a patient-centered environment
- 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences pediatric patients
- Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, techniques, and role responsibilities.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record
- Flexibility to work overtime
