• Pay or shift range: $17.24 USD to $23.80 USD The pay range reflects the current compensation range for this position at the time of posting. Individual offers are determined based on directly related experience, skills, education, internal equity, and other job-related factors. Description

Collects patient specimens, correctly identifies patients, transports specimens, and performs phlebotomy. Responsibilities include organization of phlebotomy batches, managing workflow, restocking supplies and shadowing phlebotomy trainees. Performs specimen processing as needed.

Education, Licensure, Certifications, and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Training in a formal Phlebotomy program required.
• Two years of health care experience preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to collect inpatient and outpatient adult/pediatric specimens in hospital and outpatient preferred.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collect blood samples from both adult and pediatric patients using venipuncture and capillary collections in various clinical settings.
• Ability to meet consistent and punctual attendance.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.
