Phlebotomist - Southgate
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team in Southgate. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in outpatient settings, with opportunities for both stationary and float positions.
Responsibilities
- Draw patient blood samples, properly process, and package them, approximately 25-30 times per day.
- Communicate daily with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws.
- Coordinate the pickup and shipping of samples to the medical testing site in Novi/Farmington.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in blood draw, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.
- Experience in specimen collection and processing.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.
- Ability to perform 200 plus solo draws.
- Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer tube colors for multiple tube collections.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.
- High School Diploma.
Work Environment
The team wears navy blue scrubs. Approximately 15 people work onsite in Farmington, but at the individual offsite location, there can be anywhere from 0 to 2 other employees. When working offsite, you may be part of a team of 0 to 3 people, depending on the location. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Raises are available at 6 months.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southgate, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
