Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate venipuncture and blood specimen collections.
- Perform pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
- Explain collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
- Prepare and process specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
- Ensure specimens are properly identified, labeled, and handled.
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation.
- Verify patient information and ensure specimen accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Follow all established laboratory, safety, confidentiality, and quality procedures.
- Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a high-volume environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and promote a positive experience for patients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience - Required.
- Experience with:
- Pediatric collections
- Geriatric collections
- Capillary collections
