Phlebotomist
Pay Range: $19.85hr - $21.26hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
- Minimum of 2+ years of current phlebotomy experience.
- Strong computer and keyboard/data entry skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, employees, and the public.
Nice to Have:
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
