Wednesday and Thursday 5:00 AM - 4:00 PM/Saturday 6:00 AM -2:00 PM/EST PART TIME

$19.00 to $21.00/hour*

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 Duties
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections safely and accurately.
  • Identify patients/donors and verify orders before collection.
  • Collect, label, process, and transport blood specimens according to procedures.
  • Use straight needles, butterfly needles, and other approved collection techniques.
  • Handle patients of different ages and provide a comfortable, professional experience.
  • Maintain specimen integrity and follow proper storage/handling procedures.
  • Enter collection information accurately into the laboratory information system.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized phlebotomy area.
  • Handle difficult draws and troubleshoot collection issues appropriately.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, nurses, providers, and laboratory staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
Typical Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred or required depending on the facility.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Strong venipuncture and specimen-handling skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift/handle supplies.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to meet the required schedule.
  • Must successfully complete background check, drug screening, and required onboarding.
