- Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience is required.
- Represent the face of the organization to patients during health routines and health decisions.
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
- Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients.
- Perform blood specimen collection in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
